Our students come from Central and South American immigrant families. These families cannot afford the tuition of a private education, but they “pay” for their children’s education with a commitment. The parents must spend one day each week at the Center to enhance their own education.
Each has a personal English tutor and participates in computer and faith formation classes. In addition to English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, St. Francis Center also provides parents of Holy Family School children with continuing education for the General Equivalency Development (GED) test.

The first group of twenty-five students (13 adults and 12 children) graduated from Holy Family School in 2007. We are proud to report that many of them are getting significant scholarship assistance to attend private schools.
A new class of students is currently working their way through our curriculum, and we have every confidence that they will be equally as successful as our first class.
