Summer Camp is Off and Running
On Monday, June 16, 150 neighborhood youth embarked on an exciting six-week adventure at the Siena Youth Center’s Summer Camp. This free camp, which runs Monday to Thursday, through July 24, offers a unique blend of learning and fun that keeps young people engaged, active, and socially connected throughout the summer. Activities include LitCamp®, pool visits, field trips, sports, games, hikes, and a variety of outdoor adventures—there’s something for everyone!

Lesla Jimenez is our chef who prepares healthy, homemade hot lunches for our Campers! On the menu for June 26 were asada burritos and fruit salad.

Support Our Summer Campers: Help Us Provide Healthy Snacks and Hot Lunches!
It’s not too late to make in-kind and cash donations of any amount to help provide daily healthy snacks and weekly hot lunches for the 150 active and hungry Summer Campers! In-kind Donations: We welcome prepackaged healthy snacks, such as:
- Granola bars
- Dried fruit packs
- Trail mix
- Whole grain crackers
- Jerky
- Pretzels
- Air-popped popcorn
- String cheese
- Bags and boxes of fresh fruit
- And more!
Donations can be dropped off at the Siena Youth Center, 2625 Marlborough Ave, Redwood City, CA 94063. For more information, please contact Edgar Tenorio at mrtenorio@stfrancisrwc.org.
Cash Donations: Funds raised will fill any gaps in daily snacks and provide a weekly hot lunch for each Camper. Most of our Campers qualify for free or reduced lunch during the school year, but this support is not available in the summer, creating a financial burden for their parents.
