GARDENS FOR LIFE

Families struggling to stay fed, clothed, and clean do not often have the opportunity to experience the simple joys of living. St. Francis Center responds to these needs in a holistic and practical way. Two community dumps were transformed into community gardens. These community gardens grace large lots across the street from the Center and are a source of community pride. They nurture both body and spirit. A mosaic of Our Lady of Guadalupe resides in one of the gardens, in a bed of roses, and creates a peaceful space.
