Celebrating Redwood City Together and San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office’s CARON Program

St. Francis Center is proud to recognize our partners, Redwood City Together and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office’s Community Alliance to Revitalize Our Neighborhoods (CARON) program. On October 21, community members gathered at the Redwood City Together office, located in our building on Middlefield Road in Menlo Park, to attend José Luis Aguirre’s mobile photography exhibit, “Cosechando Sueños,” or “Harvesting Dreams.”

The exhibit featured portraits of local farmworkers created by Aguirre, who serves as the Outreach Program Manager for CARON. It celebrates the contributions of these hardworking individuals, who labor tirelessly in the hot sun, freezing cold, and rain throughout the year to provide food for our tables.

The CARON program aims to bridge the gap between immigrant communities and law enforcement.
